We now know that the eighteen-hour opus was ultimately Lynch’s final masterpiece. But let’s go back to the 1990s. After a dispute with the TV network ABC, Lynch gave the second series a shocking and terrifying open ending. Breaking his ties with ABC meant more creative freedom for Lynch, but he would go on to surprise even his most loyal fans. This feature-length theatrical film focuses on the now intimately familiar story of the fallen angel Laura Palmer (played magnificently by Sheryl Lee). In this prequel, which was revolutionary for its time, Lynch follows the ill-fated diva on a cocaine-fuelled ride through hell, from which not even David Bowie – in an unforgettable cameo as Agent Phillip Jeffries – can save her. Unfortunately, Lynch and Bowie were unable to follow up on this collaboration in the final series of the acclaimed show, but the legendary musician’s participation ultimately left an unexpected mark on the canon of the fictional world of Twin Peaks. - Each screening will begin with an expert introduction. - Each ticket will be accompanied by a third of a Pilsner Urquell chilled beer (valid for visitors over 18 years of age). - In case of inclement weather, the screening will be cancelled.
