The name 2d3D presents fascinating jewelry that will charm you with a perfect illusion of dimensionality despite its flatness. Their authors are two young architects, Martina Bílková and Petra Hlaváčková, both graduates of the Faculty of Arts and Architecture in Liberec, who besides their hobby of designing and producing jewelry are involved in working for Prague-based architectural studios. This artistic duo characterize themselves as “a geometric connection of 2 ladies“ that “catch lost dimensions“. Their pins, earrings and pendants that often form whole sets perfectly play with perspective and optical illusion and create the impression of spatial depth. They are made of Perspex and other materials and some pieces are engraved and colored by hand. While the Volume, 3D, 2D, Deskript and Geometrik collections play with various geometric shapes, the Origame collection flattens otherwise three-dimensional shapes of origami animals that, however, seem not to lose anything of their spatial character. The 2d3D jewels can be purchased in Prague at Futurista Universum and Hard de Core, online at Fler.cz and Zrni.eu, and occasionally at various design shows.
