Žofín Garden

Located on quiet Slovansky Island, Žofín Garden is the perfect place to have a delicious meal at affordable prices all the while relaxing on a tranquil island. Slovansky Island is home to the pretty Žofín palace, wonderful views, gorgeous greenery and also the Functionalist Manes building. From this it shoud be clear that the Žofín Garden restaurant boasts one of the best locations in Prague, especially for a romantic riverside dinner. The handicap-accessible restaurant with an open kitchen and year-round grill is situated in the covered open-air terrace of Žofín Palace and features a welcoming atmosphere complete with lush potted plants, comfortable seats and tables, a children’s corner with playground with direct access from the restaurant, and adjacent rowboat and segway rental. They even have programs for children every Saturday and Sunday from 12 - 5p.m. It all sounds a bit like a restaurant out of Mary Poppins to us, which means, absolutely perfect in every way! The menu is varied and includes tasty fresh salads, pizza and pasta, scrumptious BBQs, some Czech specialties, a mouth-watering dessert section, and a children’s menu as well. Žofín Garden also does take-away - could it get any better?
