This smart café is situated directly in the National Gallery’s Veletržní palác (Trade Fair Palace). The Trade Fair Palace, a marvel of Functionalist architecture, takes up an entire block and is simply put, impressive. The café is located at the front of the building and features large windows that look out onto one of the main roads in Holešovice. The cafe is furnished as one would expect, with modern furniture featuring simple, sleek lines. Besides being a great cafe with an amazing setting, good coffee and tasty food, Kolektor also plays host to a variety of happenings including National Gallery workshops for kids, pop up vintage fashion markets, and more. The sun-drenched cafe also makes for a comfortable place to work remotely in Prague during the week when it’s a tad bit slower inside. The obviously extra bonus here is that you can visit a world-renowned gallery before or after you spend time working and/or drinking fantastic coffee.
